The vacation of our dreams!
Ever since we visited St John several years ago, we've dreamed of coming back with our family to vacation here on this beautiful island. We searched VRBO for the perfect house to fit our family of 6 adults and 5 children. The estate at Orchid Court definitely fit the bill! The main house is gorgeous with amazing views and so much space to spread out. The cottage on the far end of the tennis court was perfect for my son's family for sleeping and showering but we didn't need to use the kitchen and appliances there since we always gathered at the main house for meals, games, and family fun Everything we needed was there and if we ran out of anything, such as gas for the grill, the house manager was quick to respond! Barbara was readily available for us and in fact, went over and above for us before, during and after the trip! She recommended spots to rent our vehicles, grocery stores where we could order in advance, have it delivered and had someone at the house to accept and put away the supplies! She was helpful with directions to the best beaches and recommendations for restaurants. We loved the pool and used it daily. We appreciated the generous supply of beach towels, coolers and beach chairs. The kitchen was very well stocked thankfully as we made lots of meals there and packed lunches daily for the beach. Our only regret is that the week went by so fast! We only hope it's not too long before we come back to Estate Hammer Farm in the hills of St John!

The view, the accommodations, the hospitality, the location = all second to none. Loved every minute of our stay! Perfect house for nice island get away.

The view is outstanding, Francis and Maho Bay, with Tortola in the background. Close proximity to local eateries and the beach. Would highly recommend this location for your next visit to St. John.

"This cottage is nestled in the Virgin Islands National Park. It is lush and green and has a wonderful breeze, and it is extremely quiet and peaceful. The view overlooking Francis Bay is unsurmountable. The common area and kitchen are small, but the three rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect, a short drive to Cruz Bay and an even shorter drive to the North Shore beaches. The tennis court is a plus, if you enjoy the sport! You will never see a tennis court with such a view! (or you can ignore it if you are not into tennis :)) Because you are in the forest, keep in mind that there are bugs outside (and sometimes inside), but they take nothing away from the experience (unless you really dislike bugs)! Barbra’s attention was impeccable too, which made us feel welcome and relaxed. We will keep going back to this place as long as it is available on Stj.
